Affimative Action Controversy

Has anyone really paid attention to the Affirmative Law Controversy in Michigan. On November 7, 2013 students in Michigan protested about the conflicts with the Affirmative Law conflict. Affirmative Law simply states that the state shall not discriminate against, or grant preferential treatment to any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin in the operation of public employment, public education or public contracting."
Really what is our society really coming to. Why go against something that is truly fair. No one has the right to discriminate anyone due to their color, religion or race. The US Supreme Court took up an unusual – but important – civil rights case on whether to ban on using race-based affirmative action in college admissions in Michigan violates the equal protection rights of minorities.
Michigan is no stranger to controversy over affirmative action. More than a decade ago, white students challenged race-conscious admissions programs at the University of Michigan and the University of Michigan Law School. In 2003, the Supreme Court struck down the university’s affirmative action program for relying too heavily on race. At the same time the high court upheld the law school’s program.
Now you tell me if this is fair or not???

Summmarization of the Abraham Lincoln Second Inaugural Address

On the day of March 4, 1865 Abraham Lincoln was admitted into his second Inaugural Address. His speech was overwhelming but yet serious. The purpose of the speech  was to inform the nation of the problems of South and the North face with the Civil War.

Slavery was a very important issue for the Civil War. The South wanted to continue and expand the territories of the slaves, while the North wanted slavery to be abolished and not expanded. Both sides thought that they could have their way but as Abraham Lincoln stated only God may judge someone else. American Slavery is one of the offenses, in providence of God, must needs come but which having continued through his  appointed time.God has a will to remove the war that the North and South created.

I believed that their was no cause for the slavery period. Abraham Lincoln proudly disagreed with it and made the Emancipation Proclamation official. He wanted peace amongst the nations and between ourselves.
